our actors and other theatre professionals
Our reputation depends on the quality of the people we use and we take great care when using theatre professionals and when deciding who to assign to which project. We also review the quality of the work undertaken by existing team members.Reliability‚ punctuality‚ integrity‚ respect for the client’s business and respect for client’s privacy are essential qualities in all members of our team.
We have a regular pool of 40-50 actors and theatre professionals but have drawn on over 120 people in the last two years. All are theatre professionals with considerable experience and many of our people have business experience and qualifications in addition to professional acting skills.
Our people are happy to travel to projects but for long running projects in one location we can investigate the suitability of locally based professional actors and theatre professionals.
The company was founded by David Parrish. After a BSc in Business and Management he joined Barclays Bank. After four years in banking David trained as an actor and then worked in theatre and television. Quickly noting the demand for actors in training and people development he formed Oxford Roleplay. In addition to his degree David has professional diplomas from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. He speaks fluent Norwegian and conversational French and German.
Oxford Roleplay is based in the same office as Creation Theatre Company. Creation is acclaimed for its large theatre projects in unusual locations. Venues include BMW Group Plant Oxford, an antique mirror tent and Oxford Castle. With an attendance of over 60,000 people per year and considerable talents, contacts and resources to draw upon, there is a natural synergy between the two organisations.
